CARE & SUPPORT FORM

LIFE GROUPS

Life Groups provide some of the best opportunities for people to get to know each other on a deeper level and do life together. Authentic, healthy relationships not only provide connection into church life, but they are also a source of strength, encouragement and joy throughout life’s seasons. They are the first line of care for those in the group when needs arise. Learn more about Life Groups by clicking here.

PASTORAL APPOINTMENT REQUEST

Pastoral biblical guidance is available to the members of The Life Church. This is not professional counseling, but rather an opportunity for a pastor to give empathy, hope, prayer, guidance, and encouragement based on biblical wisdom.

Members can request an appointment with a pastor by filling out the Care & Support form. Once the form is submitted, the team will review and follow up with next steps.

HOSPITAL VISITS

A Life Church team member will visit and pray with members, visitors and/or their immediate family while in the hospital. Members can request a hospital or home visit through the Care & Support form.

FINANCIAL MINISTRY

Generous House

We invest our resources to help those in the community through our Generous House. The Generous House is an upscale food pantry and clothing closet where all items are free or sold at reduced prices to those who qualify for assistance. Our weekly guests are treated with respect and dignity in an environment of joy and faith for a better future. Guests to Generous House may shop for food twice a month and clothing once a month. Guests may sign in between 10a–12p. Generous House is open on Mondays and Wednesdays. When all guests who are signed in have been served, we close for the day (usually ends around 2p). Potential guests can get more information about hours and requirements, by calling 901.737.9006.

Benevolence Process

We have some financial resources set aside to help members of the church who are in financial need. This is done on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Campus Pastor. Members will meet with one of our trained Crown Money Coaches who help guide them in creating/using a budget, help assess their need, provide practical advice to help in the situation and if needed, suggest the type of assistance the church may provide.

Members may fill out a Financial Ministry Packet at their Campus by visiting the Next Steps booth, or send an email to moneycoaching@thelifechurch.com to be connected directly to a money coach. For immediate needs of members, such as food and clothing, we can help them directly through resources in our Generous House.

DEATH & FUNERALS

Pastors at The Life Church do help with funeral preparation and funeral services to members and their immediate family. Please fill out the Care & Support form and notify your Campus Pastor. The team will reach out to the family with next steps.

GRIEFSHARE

GriefShare is a 13 week Christ-centered grief recovery class. Each week the group will watch a video seminar on DVD. The videos cover topics essential to recovery from the hurt of grief and loss. The videos are produced in a compelling television magazine format and feature interviews with grief recovery experts, dramatic reenactments, on-location video and real-life stories of people who have experienced the death of a loved one.

After viewing the video, the group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in their lives. During the week, they will have the opportunity to use their workbook for further personal study of the grieving process and to help sort out their emotions through journaling. The group will spend time discussing questions and comments from the workbook study.

Who should attend?

GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a family member or friend. We understand that there are other losses in life that create feelings of grief such as a job loss, a divorce, estrangement from a child or the loss of friends because of a move. This grief is real, but it is not the kind of grief discussed in GriefShare sessions.

When should I join a GriefShare group?

People are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is “self-contained,” so they do not have to attend in sequence. They will find encouragement and help whenever they begin. They will be able to continue with GriefShare through the next 13-week cycle and view any of the videos they have not seen.

For more info on GriefShare, please fill out our Care & Support form.

PREMARITAL EDUCATION

We have outlined steps to help couples build a satisfying, love and grace-filled marriage that will last a lifetime. Through the years, we have seen God’s best come from solid, intentional preparation for marriage. The time couples spend during their engagement should be viewed as an investment in the life that they will live together.

The wedding process at The Life Church will take about six months to complete and is available to members of The Life Church. This length of time should allow you time to complete the marriage preparation materials, meet our premarital education requirements, and carefully plan your wedding with one of our coordinators.

For more info on this process, check out Weddings at The Life Church.
