Campus Facility Care Administrator

Position: Campus Facility Care Administrator
Direct Report: Campus Pastor
Hours: Full Time - 40 Hours Per Week

Role Summary:
The Life Church of Memphis is looking for someone to join the team who is self motivated, a quick learner, and has a great attitude. The Campus Facility Care Administrator will ensure that all areas of the church campus are clean, sanitized, and ready for events and services. The Campus Facility Care Administrator will assist with minor repairs, maintain supply inventory, submit purchase requests, and be responsible for preparations and clean up after events. The Campus Facility Care Administrator will help recruit, train, and develop volunteers for the Facility Care Team.  To be successful in this position, they should be observant, respectful, and committed to providing coworkers, church members, and guests with a clean, orderly place to worship and congregate. 

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: 

  • Ensure that campus building and grounds are well maintained, clean, and ready for weekend worship experiences and mid-week events 
  • Perform routine maintenance activities such as changing light bulbs, etc.
  • Perform and assist with CDC sanitation and cleanliness protocols/techniques for disease and infection control
  • Ensure proper labeling and use of cleaning chemicals
  • Gather and remove all trash from the building 
  • Operate cleaning/maintenance equipment including Zamboni floor cleaning machine and scissor lift
  • Maintain and care for restrooms including general and deep cleaning and restocking
  • Deep clean auxiliary kitchens
  • Clean carpets with the carpet extractor and carpet wand regularly
  • Clean windows inside and outside
  • Pressure wash sidewalks and siding around building 
  • Work with Facility Care Team Leader to help recruit, train, and oversee volunteers
  • Coordinate space/room setup and takedown for events, meetings, etc.  
  • Coordinate building lock-up/light shut-off with campus team
  • Create and maintain relationships with various vendors and suppliers
  • Organize all facilities storage and janitorial supply closets
  • Maintain custodial supply inventory, including special orders

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc. up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to stand/be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Must be able to climb a ladder up to 10’
