Baby Dedication

Baby Dedication is an opportunity for parents to publicly display their commitment to raising their child according to God’s Word and His ways. We encourage you to invite family and friends to share in this experience!

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF BABY DEDICATION?

The church partners with families to equip their child to love God, God’s Word, God’s House, and God’s people.
Families celebrate and dedicate their child to the Lord.
Families publicly display their commitment to raising their child according to God’s Word and His ways.

HOW DOES BABY DEDICATION WORK?

There is no registration for Baby Dedication. If you want to dedicate your baby, please tell your child’s teacher when checking into Kids Life. After the message, parents will be dismissed to pick up their child from Kids Life and bring them to the auditorium for the dedication portion of the service. During the Baby Dedication, a pastor will hold a moment of encouragement and prayer.

DO I NEED TO BE A MEMBER OF THE LIFE CHURCH TO DEDICATE MY CHILD?

You don’t need to be a member of The Life Church to have your baby dedicated. We do ask that parents have completed Discovery and call The Life Church their home church. We encourage families to have an understanding and alignment with the beliefs, vision, and purpose of The Life Church. Learn more about What We Believe.

IS BABY DEDICATION THE SAME THING AS INFANT BAPTISM OR SALVATION?

No. We believe your child is saved by grace alone, through personal faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of good works or any human effort. This can only happen when a child is old enough to understand the concept of salvation and the work of Jesus on the cross.
