Axis Leadership Week

Monday, June 2 – Thursday, June 5

Axis Leadership Week is our environment for any middle or high school student who aspires to grow as a leader in every area of their life. This four-day, dynamic experience will help Axis students deepen their involvement in church, strengthen relationships with leaders and each other, and learn inspiring and practical tools for leadership.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

On Monday and Tuesday, students will gather at the Houston Levee location for two full days of worship, leadership teaching and breakout lessons from The Life Church pastoral team, group discussion and activities, fun relational time, and more.

On Wednesday, students will meet at their location with their Axis Student Director and team for dinner and a devotional time before Axis. They will assist in executing a Wednesday night service.

And we’re planning a fun day on Thursday afternoon!

This is a great experience to grow in your relationship with God, your leadership, and your relationship with other Axis students and leaders. More details and a full schedule are available below.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How long is the program?
The event is two full days on Monday and Tuesday from 9:30a-3:30p at the Houston Levee location, on Wednesday at your Axis location from 4:30p-9:20p, and a fun day on Thursday from 1:00p-4:00p.

What if I’m on vacation for some days during the week?
We understand that things may come up and vacations are often planned in advance. To make sure you get the most out of this experience, we ask that you talk with the Axis Student Director at your location about any vacations or reasons you may miss Monday through Thursday before registering.

What is the dress code?
We want this environment to be excellent. Axis student leaders are an extension of the Axis staff team. Therefore, we encourage you to dress like you’re part of our team! We encourage modest, clean, and put-together outfits.

What will the environment be like on Monday and Tuesday?
Think classroom and Axis service combined! We will meet in the Next Gen Auditorium at our Houston Levee location for worship, teaching, breakout sessions, fun elements, and group collaborations.

Are there any prerequisites or requirements to be a part of Axis Leadership Week?
You must have completed Discovery and attend Axis regularly.

What do I need to bring?
You must bring your Bible, a notebook, and a pen. Students will not be allowed to take notes on a device or use a Bible app. Please do not bring anything that would cause distraction such as gaming devices, sports equipment, etc.

What is covered in the $50 registration fee?
-Breakfast and Lunch on Monday and Tuesday
-Dinner before Axis on Wednesday

-Axis Leadership Week T-Shirt
-Classroom Supplies

Are scholarships for registration costs available?
No, scholarships are not available for Axis Leadership Week.
