Life Leadership runs from August to August each year. Weekly classes are from 6:30-9:00p on Tuesday evenings. The Life Church is blessed with a diverse staff team with a wide variety of ministry backgrounds and practical skills. Pastors, staff members and a few guest speakers will teach most of the lessons.

Participants learn through a concentric curriculum that focuses on the “5 Cs” of Leadership: leading ourselves (Character) and leading others (Competency, Chemistry, Culture and Calling).

• Spiritual Leadership – Character, Competencies and Calling
• Leading with a Healthy Soul
• Stewarding your Physical Health, Finances, Time and Talents
• People Skills and Chemistry
• The Life Church Culture
• Other topics include Discipleship, Biblical Foundations, Public Communication and more.

The basic requirements to qualify for Life Leadership are: currently serving, tithing and completing Leadership Foundations. As you pray through the decision to apply, examples of some questions to can ask yourself are:

• Am I passionate about building God’s House and being more involved in church?
• Do I desire to grow in my leadership to make a difference in my city, the nation and the world?
• Do I sense a call to church leadership or ministry?
• Am I currently leading, or do I desire to be a leader in the marketplace?

Tuition: $1,450 per person / $2,500 per couple

The cost includes books, class materials, a t-shirt, a retreat, special speakers and other program-related expenses. To complete enrollment, participants must pay the full tuition or commit to a payment plan by the fourth week of class. To request a tuition payment plan, please use the application to schedule an appointment to meet with a member of our team to review and agree upon a financial stewardship and tuition plan. 

Mission Trip: $3,000-$4,000 (approximate, prices will vary by trip)

Participants go on a national or international short-term mission trip. Participants are responsible for raising all the funds for this trip to finalize their training in Life Leadership. Mission teams organize fundraising events. This trip will occur sometime in the second half of the spring semester or during the summer.

Jesus set the example for us as leaders by becoming a servant to all. Participating in Life Leadership at The Life Church means you feel called to follow His example and wholeheartedly support and agree with our Vision, Values, Statement of Faith and Community Standards, and commit to the following to fulfill the requirements for graduation:

• Arrive at least one hour early for services and events.
• Attend a weekend retreat on Friday night and Saturday morning, September 13 and 14, 2024.
• Attend class from 6:30-9p on Tuesday nights.
• Be involved in projects and events that may require time outside class.
• Be involved in the daily ministry activities of the church by completing at least three leadership service hours per week. (special events, Axis, outreach, office support, leading a life group, worship etc.)
• Complete all assigned reading and other assignments on time and with excellence.
• Continually look for ways to make room for others and invite/bring people to church.
• Do not miss more than two weekends and two classes each semester.
• Go on a mission trip.
• Maintain a commitment to physical fitness through weekly fitness points and completing fitness challenges.
• Maintain a daily devotion and Bible reading.
• Make Life Leadership commitments and schedule a priority in your calendar and be on time for everything.
• Make The Life Church your church home where you worship, serve and do life.
• Memorize one assigned scripture each week and be tested on them.
• Participate in a graduation ceremony.
• Pay tuition and raise mission trip funds as described in the program cost section of the application.
• Serve at all special events.
• Serve weekly on a ministry team during worship services.
• Value and obey the Biblical principles of tithing, stewardship and generosity.

We do not offer childcare nor can participants leave their children, supervised or unsupervised, on the church premises during class time.

We strongly encourage spouses to attend Life Leadership together. We want this to be a life-changing experience for you. We believe it will benefit you and your spouse to go through this experience together. With that in mind, we have a discounted tuition rate for couples.
