Every Sunday at The Life Church in Memphis, you will hear a message from God’s Word that is practical, relevant, and built on intentional study of Scripture. But that message is just one piece of learning God’s Word. Each sermon series is designed for you to carry the teaching into your week: reflection on message notes and access to full messages on YouTube so you can revisit or share with someone who missed it.
The goal is to give you everything you need to take what you heard and keep going deeper on your own.
Life Groups That Teach You to Study, Not Just Listen
One of the most effective ways The Life Church in Memphis builds Bible literacy is through Life Groups. These groups meet throughout the week in homes, coffee shops, and on location across the metro area. Many follow a study guide connected to the current sermon series, but the format is not lecture. It is discussion. You are reading passages together, asking questions, hearing how others interpret and apply what they are reading, and developing your own voice as a student of God’s Word.
For people who have never studied the Bible outside of a Sunday service, a Life Group is often where that shift happens. You go from being a listener to being a participant in understanding Scripture.
