YOUNG ADULTS IN MEMPHIS

NEW CITY, NEW SEASON, NEW PEOPLE

A clear first step for anyone starting fresh in Memphis this fall.

Fall in Memphis brings a wave of people starting something new with students moving in for the semester, young professionals relocating for a first job, and recent grads figuring out what comes next. If that’s you this year, one of the first questions on your list is probably where you’re going to find people. The Life Church in Memphis was built with exactly that season of life in mind.

Start With a Sunday or a College Night

The easiest way to visit is either a Sunday service or College Night, a monthly gathering at the Highland location built specifically for ages 18 to 25. The room is big enough that you can show up without knowing anyone and not feel out of place, and friendly volunteers are there to answer questions and point you in the right direction. You don’t need to already have it figured out to walk through the doors.

Where Fall Friendships Actually Start

Sunday mornings are the front door, but the friendships that last form in Life Groups and on serving teams. College-specific Life Groups meet weekly across Memphis in a few different formats: Bible study groups, activity groups, and dinner groups, so you can pick the one that fits how you naturally connect with people. Once you start serving, you’re seeing the same people every week, which is how acquaintances turn into real community.

“ Great place of worship, great people, great music, and awesome vibe! Leadership makes it easy to serve on various teams, connect with others, and serve in the community.

— Bran S.

No Pressure to Have It Figured Out

Not everyone is ready to jump into a Life Group or sign up to serve in their first month in a new city, and that’s fine. Some people attend a few Sundays first, others start with a single College Night. The Life Church in Memphis is built to meet you at your pace, whether you’re settling into a dorm, an apartment, or a new job.

Grow Into Leadership When You’re Ready

For young adults who want to go deeper, Leadership Foundations is an eight-week Tuesday-night experience that develops leadership and serving skills alongside other emerging leaders. It’s a natural next step once Memphis starts to feel like home.

Find Your People This Fall

The Life Church in Memphis meets on Sundays at 9 or 11 AM at Houston Levee in Eads, Highland in East Memphis, and Austin Peay in Raleigh. Come find your church, your community, and your purpose. Visit thelifechurch.com to plan your visit or check out the next College Night date.
